Sick Days

I think we've discovered one of the worst parts of parenting - a sick little baby. I have never seen Gavin so miserably miserable in his whole life. I think he's achy, I think his throat hurts, and I think his new teeth are hurting him too...this is the worst guessing game we've ever played. I wish he could tell us what's hurting him, poor baby. Blair, my dad, and my brother Lance were able to give him a blessing, which on the other end of the scale is one of my favorite things about parenting, or anything. I love witnessing/receiving blessings, the power of the priesthood is so tangible during those moments. And although Gavin screamed through the whole thing, I know that it helped and that he's on the mend. I know this is a drop in the bucket concerning sick children. We've been so incredibly blessed to have such a healthy, happy little boy and my heart aches for those children who have to suffer through horrible illnesses. It really makes me grateful for the challenges and trials I've been given in my life and gives me strength for ones still to come. I am in awe at how precious little ones are. Gavin has an incredible spirit that has filled our home and we love him so much!
I know we kinda skipped past his 8 month mark so here's a quick update...Gavin is sitting all by himself now with very little tipping over. It is SO cute watching him sit and play, we can't believe how much he's growing! He loves story time and he really enjoys being sung too. He's got 5 teeth and it looks like there's one more on the way. If you've met our boy, I know that it seems like he's silent, but at home he lets loose the talking and shouting (happy shouts)! It's the cutest thing ever! He's the happiest, jolliest, silliest boy and we love him!

Christmas Time!

Christmas was absolutely perfect this year. I've loved every Christmas Blair and I have had together (this being the 5th, so crazy!) but there is something so wonderfully different about having a baby! It was so fun how excited Gavin was about his presents and the wrapping paper! He's such an observant boy and there were so many new things to look at. It was kind of a sensory overload for him and he almost immediately needed a nap afterwards, but he loved it! And we loved it! We were able to spend a lot of time with family all week long and it was so great, family time is one of my most favorite things! Blair and I are in awe of the generosity shown to us this year. We feel like our little family is so loved and we don't quite know how to say thank you. We love each of our families so much and we hope they know how sincerely grateful we are! Our prayers were answered in so many ways and we know the Lord will bless each of you greatly for it! Our testimonies have been strengthened this Christmas, we love our Lord and Savior so much and know that he watches over us all. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

A College Graduate!!

On December 15th 2011 Blair turned in his last paper, the final of all finals! He's done with school! I've never seen him so happy and so relieved all at the same time. He finished writing his capstone paper the night before and came home wanting to celebrate - dinner, ice cream, movie, the works! I'm so immensely proud of him and all the hard work he's done. There have been SO many nights filled with homework, studying, research and he still managed to be a great employee, and incredible husband and father. Congratulations My Love, Gavin and I are SOOOOOOO proud of you!!!

We were also able to throw a surprise graduation party for Blair and it turned out so great! Thank you to everyone who came and helped put it together, it turned out so perfect! And thank you to Jannie for making such an incredible cake, it was delicious too!

Gavin is 7 Months Old!

It was just so recent that I updated for Gavin's 6 month mark so I'll keep this short and sweet. In just the last week Gavin's sitting up has improved so much! He's rolling everyday now and he's much happier on his tummy than he used to be. His laugh makes us laugh and his smiles brighten everything! We're so happy with how well Gavin's adjusted to our new home. He's sleeping so well, we're so very grateful! He's eating solids but just little by little is he starting like them. He's an amazing boy and we love him so so so much!

Here you can hear Gavin's fake cough - he does it all the time just hoping for someone to catch his eye and smile! What a ham! Sorry about the camera turning at the end, I was hoping to get all of him but didn't work the way I wanted.

He got such a kick out of this and I'm not sure why, he's just too cute! Sorry you have to see my feet in this, just focus on him :-)

He's growing up much too quickly but we're loving every single minute of it! We love our Gavin!

THE MOVE!

We've moved! Goodbye to BYU Housing and hello to a much nicer apartment! Don't get me wrong, we loved our BYU apartment so much. It was our very first apartment together and it's the home we brought our new baby too. We have so many wonderful memories there and we will miss it. But we absolutely love our new apartment here in Orem! We were so excited when we found it and even more excited when we found out we were approved and could move in, it was such a wonderful feeling! So on Thursday December 1st we got our keys and on Saturday we moved in. The move went so very smoothly and Blair and I are so grateful to everyone who helped! Blair's parents watched our Gavin for us (so So enormously helpful!!) while my parents, Dan, Ryan, Kyle, Kevin and Jen (and Nathan of course!) and several trucks moved us right in. We can't express how grateful we are to everyone being so willing to help us out, we love you all! Unfortunately I forgot, or possibly just couldn't find the camera in all the hustle so no pictures were taken during the move. I'm really kinda sad about that but we are all moved in and finally feeling settled which is great! So here is our new place!

Blair and I decided to take the smaller bedroom because Gavin's room is the nursery/office/storage. It's a good thing we did too, I really had no idea how much stuff we really had. Because of how much bare walls bother me I'm very anxious to find new things to use for decoration. So they'll be bare for a while. This is mostly to show off our amazing quilt that Blair's mom made, and once again, how very light it is in our home - I love it so much!

It's pretty obvious that the walls all need a new coat of paint but other than that we think our home is perfect! There are so many great things about it and we just love living here!

Thanksgiving

We love Thanksgiving and this year's celebration was so great! We were able to spend the whole day with Blair's family and we had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and it was so great catching up with everyone. We love the holidays so much! Here are a few pictures from that awesome weekend!

All About our 6 Month Old!

I guess we really should be saying our 6 1/2 month old now because as usual, I'm a little late. I have a hard time believing that Gavin is already 6 months old. Gavin is the happiest, jolliest little baby I've ever seen! Nothing phases him. He talks and grunts and squeals and shouts (happy shouts) all day long! Gavin is growing like crazy! He's eating solids now, which as you'll see in the video he didn't like at all at first. He still makes funny faces but 2 weeks later he's loving it! He has one little tooth and he's very curious about it. He's always running his tongue along it and trying to bite everything, it's so cute! Gavin LOVES his daddy! No one makes him laugh the way Blair does and it is my most favorite thing! Gavin's favorite toy lately has been an empty chocolate chip bag - I think he likes the noise it makes :-) He's so very easy to please and I hope it'll always be that way. Gavin amazes me more and more each day. He's learning and growing and loves interaction! When our attention turns from him he almost immediately begins to fake cough or talk louder so we'll turn back to him. And he's no respecter of persons with this, whether we're at home, church or the store he's coughing at everyone trying to get a look and a smile! He's such a flirt! His sitting up is improving but we still have to be right there with him or else he lunges backwards. And he's rolling again which is fun! He scoots and pivots all over now too...just a sign of things to come - one happy mobile baby! I still hope he takes some extra time with that though. We feel so blessed to be Gavin's parents and we love him so much!

Gavin Michael - 5 Months

Our baby Gavin just turned 5 months old on Saturday, I can't believe it! He has grown so much and is learning something new everyday. He laughs much more easily now, especially for Daddy, and he's talking up a storm! His favorite thing lately is spitting. He spits almost all day long. We've wondered if it has something to do with teething because he's been a faucet lately but there aren't any other signs. He just happily spits! His smiling, laughing and talking light up our lives! We wake up to the happiest baby boy every morning and we love it. Gavin is so healthy and is growing like a weed and he's always on the move. Mostly pivoting, he's not too fond of rolling anymore. We love our Gavin so much!

Updates

We're finally back with some real updates, hooray! Blair and I are doing great! Blair is back in school and is busy busy busy! His homework load is much bigger than before and then add in work and it equals a very busy man! He handles it great though and still manages plenty of time for wife and baby! Work is going well although its much slower than before. He's very excited to graduate and be able to focus all his energy on his job now and applying for future work. I'm beginning to better adjust to being a stay at home mommy, but its rough. Gavin is still sleeping around 6 hours a day so, I have a lot of free time that I don't know what to do with. Gavin is a lot more interactive these days though which has been so fun! I love watching him learn and grow! We've really tried to take advantage of the georgous Autumn weather with lots of walks, its been so beautiful and I love the exercise and Gavin loves the outdoors. With the change in the weather comes BYU Football season! I am grateful that Blair has something so enjoyable to watch on his day off, helps him relax a little. And of course Gavin is right there watching it too. Such cute boys! We are really, really trying to make the most what little time we have left at BYU. We have absolutely loved living here!

I LOVE this picture of our boy, he is just happiness all over! I can't believe that Gavin is 3 months old. He has grown so much and he is so happy all the time! He's been sleeping through the night (for at least 10 hours..incredible) for almost a month now. Motherhood has a much brighter outlook when I've had a full nights sleep! I love watching Gavin grow and learn although I'm not pushing the whole rolling over thing because that only leads to mobility. I love that I can put him somewhere and that's where he stays! I know it'll come someday but for now, I just really enjoy my non-mobile baby! We've loved the summertime because I get to spend so much time with Blair. I'm always a little sad when school has to start but this is Blair's last semester! He'll be graduating in December and I'm so so proud of him, he's an amazing man! I'm loving being a mommy and still adjusting to being at home, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being with Gavin!

First Family Vacation

So our plans for my birthday took a drastic turn (for the better of course!) when Crystal called us up and asked if we'd like to go to St. George with them for the weekend. It was such a fun trip! The house we stayed in was beautiful and came complete with a private pool and diving board, it was incredible! We had several rounds of Hands-up Stands-up and had almost every race imanginable - underwater all the way, no arms, no legs, noodle races, etc...All the kids had a great time too! Gavin did so well. I think the heat made him sleepy because he slept almost the entire time - what a good boy! As for the swimming he was pretty indifferent but it was fun getting him in the water. Blair took me out to dinner Saturday night and then we walked around the temple which is so beautiful, there is just something so awe inspiring about the pioneer built temples! Sunday was so relaxing and Monday evening we had to come home, sad day. We are so grateful to Crystal and Ryan for letting us come along, we had a blast! I can't believe the summer is coming to an end, we are so glad we got have a vacation before its over, good times!

Blessing Day

On Sunday, July 17th our sweet baby Gavin was blessed and it was such a wonderful day! Blair was nervous but he did an amazing job, the blessing was so beautiful! Both of our dad's and grandpa's, and our brothers stood in the circle and that meant so much to us. We felt so loved and the Spirit was so tangible. The priesthood is an incredible thing! After the blessing we all gathered for lunch and it was so great to catch up with everyone. We had so many relatives in town that we just don't see often enough and it was so nice to visit with them all! We want to thank everyone who joined us that day, it was so special and we are very, very grateful! We love Gavin so much and we are so happy he's with us!

A Day of Firsts

I know this is a little late but it seems like now that we have a baby, we're always late! On Sunday, June 19th we celebrated Blair's very first Father's Day! Blair is such an incredible dad and you can really see and feel the love he has for Gavin. He's SO helpful with Gavin, he's always willing to get up with him in the night to change or feed him - he's so wonderful! I always knew Blair would be an amazing dad. I'm so grateful for Blair's dad and the great example he set. I'm so grateful Blair was raised in a home with the Gospel and father who honors his priesthood and treats his wife with love and respect. I'm also very grateful for my dad who helped me know the kind of man I wanted to marry, someone who has a firm testimony, who is patient and kind and who loves their family. The fathers in my life could never be replaced, they are incredible men of God and I love them all so much! I'm also so indebted to my Heavenly Father who has blessed me and my family so much, I love Him and His Gospel! Gavin and I are so blessed to have Blair and as a father and husband and we love him more than anything!

One Whole Month!

I guess I'm a day late, but yesterday was exactly one month since our Gavin joined our family. I can easily say that these last four weeks have been the hardest, and the most incredible of my life. Giving birth was easy, bringing him home was terrifying. But I'm finally feeling like we have more of a handle on things and catching up on sleep has a huge part in that! We ended up putting Gavin on a bottle which was such a difficult thing for me, I've always, always wanted to nurse my babies. But there are perks to a bottle - first and foremost a full, happy baby! And Blair can get up with him in the night giving me a chance to get more sleep, plus the bonding time Blair gets with Gavin is incredible! Blair is so good with him and I love Gavin's reaction when he hears his voice. Blair is a natural and Gavin most definitely loves his daddy! Gavin is such a great sleeper when he sleeps :) He actually gave us 5 full hours last night which is awesome! It's amazing what an extra hour or two will do! I have dreamed of being a mom since I was little and I still can't believe that I am one now. I can't describe how much love I feel for Gavin and how grateful I am that we've been chosen to be his parents. He is such a sweet, calm, contented little boy and I feel like he brings Blair and I closer to our Heavenly Father. Probably because I've also never prayed for more help and guidance than I have in the last 4 weeks! I never expected it to be this hard or this enjoyable all at the same time! We also are so very grateful to both of our families. Their love and support has been so appreciated and we don't know what we would have done without it! I am so happy Gavin is here, I love my little family!

On Sunday, May 15th, 2011 at 1:18am we welcomed our beautiful baby Gavin into the world. It was the most incredible experience we've ever had. The delivery went so well, Gavin did awesome! His heartbeat was perfect and the labor was actually pretty short for a first time birth. 8 hours of labor, 25 minutes of pushing = one incredible baby boy! He weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Here are a few pictures, we hope you enjoy!

7 Down, 2 to Go!

I felt like today would be a good day to update, seeing as how I'm exactly 2 months away from my due date! I never thought I could be so excited and so nervous all at the same time. So here's a little update on whats been going on. At my 28 week appointment I was given the gestational diabetes blood test (what joy) and sadly the test came back positive. They had me do another longer test just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, but it wasn't. Blair was so sweet to sit with me throughout the entire thing! 1 hour for the first test and 3 hours for the second - what a wonderful guy I married! They had me schedule an appointment with a diabetes educator and she turned out to be the one who talked with Blair when we found his; it was nice to see a familiar face. It was a little frustrating to find out that there is no known cause for this diabetes in my particular age group and body type, its just something that happens. But I was glad to know its mild enough that I can control it with just my diet, thank goodness I don't need the insulin shots. They're having me watch my blood sugar levels and my diet very very closely though and if it does get out of hand I will have to start medication. I gotta say that with all this going on, my love and appreciation for Blair has grown immensely. I'm so grateful for the way he takes care of himself and how he handles the disease. We get to poke our fingers as a family now! Besides all this, I feel like our son is thriving! Its so incredible to feel him move even though its super uncomfortable at times. Blair talks to him all the time and is already starting to tease him :) We feel like his personality is already developing and we are loving it! Being pregnant really has been an adventure and I can't believe it will be over in just 2 months. However, we are so excited to meet him and hold him, we love him so so so much! I will keep ya'll posted on his nursery - so many ideas floating around and I just don't know what to do with them! I'm excited to get started and see what we can come up with!

We had our ultrasound yesterday and it's official - we're having a baby boy!! We couldn't be more excited and happy!! It was so incredible seeing our little boy on the screen for the first time; he's active and perfectly healthy and we are so grateful! His due date is still May 22nd, the doctor said we are right where we need to be. I'm so excited to start decorating and getting things ready! We can't wait to welcome this little boy into our home, we love him so much already!!

Update and Holidays!!

I can't believe the holidays are already over and Blair is back in school again. Time has flown! 2010 has been a great year for us. Blair passed all of his classes this semester and he is really looking forward to the one ahead. BYU has been such a great place for us to be! His work has kept him busy especially with the new time limits he has for each project. But Blair really enjoys it, its been such a great job for him! Its also been exactly one year since we found his diabetes. Its amazing what time can do, Blair is much more confident and he keeps his blood sugar under great control! Our baby is healthy and thriving! I love feeling our baby move and kick! I'm feeling so much better now that I'm in my second trimester, although my energy is still very, very limited. Work is going well. I figure I'll keep working until my tummy gets in the way. I'm really looking forward to quiting when the time comes and being home with our baby!
Thanksgiving was wonderful! Its such a blessing for us to be so near both of our families. We have much to grateful for! We had lunch with my family and dessert with Blair's. It was a really great, relaxing day! Christmas was so fun this year! We had a nice morning together, Blair made a delicious breakfast for us and we opened presents. Later in the afternoon we went to his parents house for gifts and dinner. We were able to spend a lot of time with family which we love! What a wonderful holiday season!

Blair and I will be adding to our little family on May 22nd, 2011 (give or take a week)!! We are so thrilled!! My first doctors appointment was on Monday last week and everything is looking great. We couldn't hear the heartbeat this time but the Doc said next time for sure! Blair thinks its a girl and I'm really not sure, but we both are just hoping for a healthy baby, no matter what the baby is :) Even with all the excitement, I'm really very nervous. But thankfully we've still got 7 months and I'm sure by then we'll be as ready as can be! We'll keep you updated as the months go on. Thank you all for your love and support!

Yellowstone!!

Last week Blair and I were able to go to Yellowstone, this was the first time I've been there and I loved it! We drove up on Wednesday and were able to go right into the park. Almost as soon as we drove in I spotted my first Buffalo, woo-hoo! We went and saw Old Faithful which was really neat! After that we went for a swim in the Firehole River, this was one of my most favorite things about Yellowstone, its the perfect swimming hole!! The next day was my 21st birthday!! It was such a fun day, Blair surprised me with tickets to see 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' at the playhouse in town. He hid the tickets in my favorite box of cereal - isn't he cute?? So, I would say our first stop were the falls but our first 3 stops were for construction...boo... We finally made it to the falls and they were incredible. I've never seen such amazing scenery in my life! After that we went to the Mud Volcano and Dragons Mouth and on the way saw two huge herds of Buffalo, they were awesome! Our next stop were the Grand Prismatic Spring and Excelsior Spring, they were incredible and so different. We went for another swim after that and then headed back to town to get ready for the play :) It was so much fun!! Blair is such an amazing guy, I love him!! We left Friday and I was so sad to go. We sure took the scenic way home though. We drove through the park on the way to the Tetons which were unbelievable. They are so beautiful! We drove on through to Jackson Hole and stopped for lunch and then headed home. What a wonderful vacation!!

With the semester ending and my work rather mundane yet busy, Blair and I were able to take some time and go to Moab for a little getaway! It was SO windy the first day but other than that, the weather was Perfect! We had such a great time hiking through Arches and relaxing in the hot tub. We also got to see a car show which was awesome, all the cars drove up and down Main Street showing their stuff on Friday night, it was cool! We also saw the movie 'How to Train Your Dragon' which was darling, I recommend it to everyone!! All I can say is that vacation time goes much to quickly, it was a great weekend and we were sad to see it end. We got some great pictures, hope you enjoy!

Snowmobiling!!

Last weekend was the annual snowmobiling get together in Island Park, ID and we had SO much fun! It was so great to see all of Blair's family again and we had a blast on the snomobiles! Here we are getting ready to ride - Don't we look awesome?!?

Needless to say that as Blair sped up to hit the jump, I slowed down :) It was so nice to get away for a couple of days and catch up with everyone. We're so grateful to have been included in the trip and many thanks to Blair's mom for letting ride up with her! What a great weekend!

Our Holidays!

Well I would say happy holidays everyone but sadly, they're over. Blair and I have been so busy lately and haven't updated since September, oops. So in the intrest of everybody's time, I'll try and be brief. Blair and I are doing great! Blair has started his new semester at school and is a little nervous about it. He's had some trouble managing school and work but he's much more aware of it now and I know he'll do great this semester! I'm still working at Massage Envy and its going well. I've got quite a few clients who see me regularly which makes me feel good! I've also joined a gym recently and I'll be glad to start exercising more regularly.

Our holidays were so nice! New Years was fun, we spent the evening with my two of my siblings and their spouses and played games until well after midnight. Good times! No pictures to speak of but oh well.
I love the Christmas season and I was especially excited about decorating our tree!

I had so much fun and Blair lovingly indulges my decorating fettish, what a sweetheart! We had such a wonderful Christmas! The week before we had dinner with Blair's family. We helped decorate their tree and opened gifts. It was so great to spend time with them! Christmas Eve we had dinner at Tucano's, one of our new favorites! And then we went to a the movie 'Did You Hear About the Morgans' (thanks Joy!) which was cute! Christmas morning we got up and opened presents and had cake and ice cream for breakfast (may become a new tradition:) And at noon we went to my parents house for lunch and spent the rest of the day there. It was such a great day!

I got both the necklace (its so pretty!) and the cute boots I've been wanting, a purple hot wheels, and the game Topple that we use to play when we were little!

We spent Thanksgiving at Blair's aunt and uncle's house. We had a fantastic meal with 2 different kinds of turkey AND ham. It was so delicious! Thank you to Craig and Colleen for having us! We spent the evening with them playing games and visiting. It was so nice!

Blair and I had a great Halloween! We decided to go back to our childhood roots and both create costumes out of (clean) large garbage bags. It was a lot of fun! Its the first time and the last time I'll ever wear face paint!
I was a ghost, very scary I know. And Blair was the grim reaper, even scarier!

We have been so blessed this past year! We are so grateful to our families for their love, support and the meals through the tough times. We love our Lord and Savior and and are so thankful to be a part of this gospel! We love you and truly wish you the best new year!

My Birthday and VEGAS!!

Exciting news, I am no longer a teenager!! I am now the big 20 - Yay! I had such a great birthday! Blair got me the cutest pair of shoes and took me to the Olive Garden (YUMMY) for dinner. He also got me tickets to the Collective Soul concert in Las Vegas!!! The tickets and trip were also a belated and better way to celebrate our Anniversary since we were so totally broke on our real Anniversary (read all about it in the post below). I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was!! Blair booked our 2 night stay - which was a surprise because I thought we were only staying for 1 - at the Tuscany Suites and Casino. I was such a nice hotel, I just love my husband! We got there Friday and the concert was Friday night. The concert was so incredible, and even though it was really hot outside, most everyone was drunk and I got some beer spilled on me when a girl passed out, we had SO much fun!! Collective Soul puts on an amazing show!! The next day we tried to go and walk up and down the Strip, but it was just to hot. So we went to lunch and just chilled until night time. We wandered up and down the Strip for a while and we saw the Bellagio water show which was awesome! We had a great time and Sunday afternoon we left. Sadly we forgot the camera for the concert, but here are few other pictures -

One Year Anniversary!!

I can't believe Blair and I have been married for an entire year! It still feels like yesterday that we left for the temple to be sealed, nervous as ever! This has been the most incredible year of my life. I can't even imagine what my life would be like without Blair. We have been so blessed this past year (and month-this is a little late as usual). We love eachother and our life together!

As is common in the first year of marriage, Blair and I were pretty much broke when it came time to celebrate our first year together. We were, however, able to go bowling -

And then later we went to dinner thanks to Visa! It was such a fun day! We were kind of sad that we couldn't do more to celebrate so we planned a trip later in order to really celebrate which you can read about in the post above. Marriage is so wonderful and I'm so grateful to be Blair's wife. I love him so much!! It's been a wonderful year and we look forward to many, many more!!

Friday July 24th was my sweet husband's birthday! We had such a great day but unfortunately we forgot the camera, so I guess a few of his baby pictures will have to do! Isn't he adorable?? So, the morning of his birthday we went shooting with some friends (Thanks to Lee and Vanessa for Everything!!) We had such a great time! Then we just relaxed during the afternoon and then went to Goodwood BBQ for dinner - it was Delicious!! After dinner we went home for cake, ice cream and presents and then we went saw the late showing of Wolverine at the dollar theater. It was such a wonderful day! I love Blair SOOOOO much and I'm so grateful to be his wife! Happy Birthday my Love!

Overdue Updates

Hello again! Sorry about the long wait in updating. We've been busy busy busy! I've been busy with work and with my new calling as a visiting teaching distric leader which has been good. Work is slower during the summer months but its a nice break (until the check comes!). Blair has been busy with school. He took 2 classes during the spring term (trigonometry and intro to world politics) and he's taking calculus this summer. He will be very glad to be done with that class, that's for sure! Work has picked up for him and he is busy most mornings with various lead-based paint appointments. It's been a great job for him and he really enjoys it. He also has a new calling in our ward, he's the Temple committee chair; he's in charge of organizing ward temple day. We are very glad to have callings and be settled into the our new ward and into our NEW APARTMENT! Yay! I love our apartment! We've been living here for 3 months and we love it! We love the area, the neighbors, the ward, and Our Apartment! Here are a few pictures...

Family Visits

We've done a lot with family lately which is wonderful! We went on a camping trip with my family to Palisade Lakes near Manti. It's a beautiful area and I would highly recommend it to anyone! It was so great to get together and hang out!

So about a month ago Blair and I were able to go Lagoon for free (Thanks Andew!) and we had a lot of fun! We went on my all time favorite ride, the Rocket!

It was so much fun! Sadly though, around 3:30 we got completely rained out...

The rain was SO cold and we got completely soaked which got me sick a few days later, but we had so much fun!

So guess what?? Blair and I have found an apartment! We are SO excited! It's a 2 bedroom apartment in Wymount on BYU campus. It's perfect walking distance to all of Blair's classes which is great. He's very excited to be able to walk to school rather than drive and try to find a parking spot! I'm very excited to have our own place and finally put to use all the furniture we bought about a month ago! It's bigger than we planned, but we don't mind. The second bedroom will double as an office for Blair and his homework, and a massage room for me - yay! It becomes available on April 6th and we hope to move in shortly after. We were so blessed to find this apartment - it's an answer to our prayers! We don't have a picture as of yet but we'll be sure and post one as soon as we can - We are SO excited!

Snowmobiling!

Wow, so I guess Halloween is long gone - along with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years...oh well. You must know though that it isn't totally our fault - I mean we had great holidays and everything, we just simply forgot the camera. And what fun is it to read a post without pictures?? So anyway here we are again FINALLY with an update!
This last weekened we were able to go to Island Park, Idaho for a snowmobiling get together with Blairs family and we had a great time! The drive up was good, no bad roads or weather, thank goodness. We arrived around 6, had a delicious dinner, and then played one of the most intense games of Catch Phrase I've ever played! Now, my family is competitive, but Blair's family - its a life or death situation rather than win or loose! Boys won, girls lost unfortunately, but don't worry, we were able to redeem ourselves later! Saturday we snowmobiled all day and had a great time. I was sick and was only able to ride once, but it was enough. Island park is so beautiful covered in snow! We took a trip to Big Springs which is my favorite - thats where we are in the pictures. We had a lot of fun and It was so nice to see everyone again! Its great to be home again as well, although I am still sick...bleh. Good times!
So here's a quick rundown on everything we've failed to update on -
Thanksgiving was great! We ate a lot of good food and took a nice nap and that's all I really remember. Christmas was wonderful! Blair and I stayed in a bed and breakfast from Christmas Eve to Christmas. We went to Johnson Mill in Midway - fantastic place by the way, I highly recommend it! We opened our gifts to eachother there and had a wonderful first Christmas together! We spent the rest of the day with family - Blairs parents came into town and it was sure nice to see them again! It was a great day! New Year's was fun. We made dinner together and stayed up to welcome the new year in with a kiss - how sweet! Life is wonderful! In other news...
Blair and I just celebrated our 6 MONTH Anniversary! Crazy! How time flies when your having fun! We love being married - there is nothing better! I started a new little side job in December at the new Pleasant Grove Rec Center. I work in the day care there and I really love it! I'm still working at Massage Envy and I enjoy the work there as well! Blair has recently swithched his major from Neuroscience to International Relations and he is really enjoying the change! He is still working for Kenyon Consulting and thankfully the work has picked up since December. His schedule is pretty full but he enjoys it! Well that's it for now - hopefully the next update will sooner than last time!

Halloween - parties, carving pumpkins, dressing up, scary movies - good times! We, in fact, were able to do all of the above!
We had a party at our house and we were able to get together with a bunch of good friends and it was so fun! We dressed up of course, Blair went back to his scouting days as a boy scout...awww...and I was a scary pirate - arggghhh! We carved a pumpkin named Marbles and he turned out really cute! At the end of the night we decided to watch just about the scariest movie I've ever seen - "Nosferatu" - ohhhhh! It was made in the 1920's with no sound, no color, and the worst story line, but it was really fun to make fun of!

Blair and Lisa Gibb - Awww... Isn't that so cute?? Blair and I were married on August 2nd of this year and we LOVE married life! These past almost 2 months have been the best! Our wedding went so smoothly as did the reception. We couldn't have asked for better! Even the weather decided not to be so unbearably hot - how cool!

Blair and I met in our home ward here in Pleasant Grove. He left on his mission right as my family moved in. I was actually the youth speaker at his homecoming and I thought he was pretty cute, but WAY too old for me! Our first date was in June of 2007, right after I graduated high school and on August 4th we became a couple and almost inseparable. We were engaged on March 7th, married August 2nd, and we are now almost celebrating our 2 month anniversary - Yay! Marriage is so wonderful!
Blair is currently a student at BYU, majoring in Neuroscience - holy cow. His schedule is pretty full between work and school but we still get to spend quite a bit of time together for which I am so grateful. He works for a company called Kenyon Consulting which is based in Draper. He goes all around Salt Lake County mostly and tests older homes for lead based paint. He enjoys the work and it fits in very well with his schedule.
I graduated from Massage Therapy School in March of this year and I loved it. I am working at Massage Envy in Draper and I really enjoy it. I love massage and I hope to have my own little spa in our home someday!
